Tools built from
inside the timeline.

Slinky is the studio of motion designer Gavin Laurie. After years spent making animation for film, television and brands, the focus is expanding: building better tools for the people who make things move.

01 / THE SHIFT

From making the work
to improving the way
the work gets made.

RiGlyph began with a familiar frustration: After Effects text animators are extraordinarily capable, but the experience of shaping them can be dense, fragmented and hard to read.

The goal was not another panel full of smaller controls. It was a more immediate relationship with type—a tool that encourages experimentation, keeps animation live and makes complex rigs feel understandable.

02 / PRINCIPLES

01

Play before precision

Ideas need room to move before they are measured.

02

Complexity stays backstage

Power should be felt in the result, not carried by the user.

03

Motion is the interface

The best feedback is the animation itself, playing in front of you.

03 / MOTION WORK

The experience behind the tool.
